PAYMENT
The Client agrees to pay the total estimated cost of services as agreed upon prior to the start of services.Payment timing and accepted methods will be confirmed at booking.Holiday bookings may require a non‑refundable deposit.

CANCELLATION POLICY
• Cancellations made 72 hours or more before service: full refund or credit
• Cancellations made 24–72 hours before service: 50% charge
• Same‑day cancellations: full charge may apply

HOLIDAY FEES
An additional holiday fee may apply for services provided on major holidays including:
New Year’s Eve/Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve/Day.Holiday rates will be confirmed at booking.

ACCESS TO HOME
Client agrees to provide secure and functional access (key, lockbox, garage code, or entry code).If Provider cannot access the home due to incorrect or non‑working information, the scheduled visit remains chargeable and Provider is not responsible for missed services resulting from access issues.All access information will be kept confidential.

REPAIRMAN / UTILITY LET‑IN
If requested, Provider may allow entry to repair or utility personnel.The Client agrees to hold Derek’s Pet Care Services harmless for actions or damages caused by third‑party workers.

PET HEALTH & EMERGENCY CARE
Client affirms pets are current on vaccinations unless disclosed otherwise and that all medical conditions and behavioral concerns have been disclosed.If a pet becomes ill or injured, Provider will attempt to contact the Client immediately.Provider is authorized to seek veterinary care in emergencies where delay could risk the pet’s life or health.Client agrees to reimburse reasonable veterinary expenses up to a mutually agreed spending limit unless additional authorization is provided.

MEDICATION
Provider will administer medication as instructed by the Client but cannot guarantee effectiveness.Client agrees to provide clear written instructions and understands pets may refuse medication despite reasonable efforts.

ACCIDENTS IN THE HOME
Pets may have accidents, shed, vomit, or cause minor damage while the Client is away.Provider will make reasonable efforts to clean pet‑related messes but is not responsible for stains, odors, or damage resulting from normal pet behavior.

LIABILITY
Provider will exercise reasonable care but is not responsible for:• Pre‑existing medical conditions
• Illness, injury, or death from natural causes
• Damage caused by the pet
• Injuries caused by the pet to people or other animals
• Acts of God or unforeseen emergenciesDerek’s Pet Care Services, LLC is insured through Travelers.

PET BEHAVIOR & INDEMNIFICATION
Client agrees to disclose any history of aggression, biting, escape behavior, or property damage.Client agrees to be responsible for and indemnify Derek’s Pet Care Services, LLC against any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from the pet’s behavior, except in cases of gross negligence.

PET ESCAPE
Provider will use reasonable precautions to prevent escape but cannot guarantee containment.Client acknowledges pets may escape despite reasonable care and agrees Provider is not liable unless due to negligence.

PHOTO & SOCIAL MEDIA RELEASE
Client grants Derek’s Pet Care Services permission to photograph or video pets during services.These images may be used for:
• Social media
• Website
• Marketing materialsNo identifying personal information (such as address or last name) will be shared without permission.Clients may opt out in writing at any time.

PET ABANDONMENT
If the Client fails to return or arrange continued care within 48 hours after the scheduled end of services, Provider may arrange boarding or alternate care at the Client’s expense.
